About us

Amplify Hearing & Diagnostics is a collaboration of local, independent hearing health care clinicians. We are a locally owned and operated business and are committed to offering you superior hearing care and support. We do not offer our clinicians or staff any incentives or commissions, nor do we set sales targets for our clinicians to meet. Instead, we are confident in our wonderful support staff to provide positive outcomes for our clients, and in doing so, have developed a strong word of mouth referral source.
With over 50 years of combined industry experience, we have the expertise to independently assess and offer realistic advice for your hearing healthcare. Our team consists of:
Emma Burdziejko - Audiometrist/Technician - Dip DP&E MAcAud
Emma has worked in the hearing industry since 1998. She holds a Diploma of Hearing Device Prescription and Evaluation, is a member of the Australian College of Audiology, and has been a qualified practitioner for over 20 years. Over this time she has done aid work at community clinics in Ethiopia, South Africa, Nauru, Cambodia and Tibet. She is also a fully trained hearing aid technician, specialising in hearing aid repairs, fault finding and fine tuning. Emma has a special interest in the latest digital hearing aid technology, fine tuning of fittings, adult audiometry and hearing aid prescription, fitting and adjustments.

Liz Lockett - Audiologist - BSp&HgSc BECEd MClinAud AAudA
Liz has worked in the hearing industry since 2007. She has degrees in Speech and Hearing Science, and Early Childhood Education from Charles Sturt University Albury/Thurgoona, and a Masters in Clinical Audiology from the University of Melbourne. She is proficient in both adult and paediatric diagnostic Audiology, and all aspects of vestibular assessment, ear wax removal and Cochlear implant assessment and mapping.


Kate Rixon - Office Manager/Audiometrist - BBehSc Dip Aud MAcAud
Kate has worked in the local hearing industry since 2004 in an administrative capacity. She holds a Bachelor of Behavioural Sciences and has also completed a Diploma of Audiometry. She has a special interest in adult rehabilitation, hearing aid fitting, counselling and support. Kate grew up in the Albury Wodonga area and now enjoys watching her young family experience all the region has to offer.


Makayla Kyriazis - Audiologist - ​BHlthSci(Hons) MClinAud(AAudA)
After finishing her studies at La Trobe University in 2022, Makayla was very eager to make a regional move to join the Amplify team. Makayla loved the opportunity for a position at an independent clinic that puts clients' needs first and foremost. Being interested in all areas of audiology, Makayla enjoys working with paediatric and adult patients alike, as well as assisting those in their Cochlear Implant journey. In her spare time, Makayla enjoys exploring the outdoors with her dog.

Laura Eaton - Audiologist -
BAppSci, MClinAud (AAudA)
Laura joined the Amplify team after completing her Masters of Audiology in 2021 and internship program locally in the Northeast. Audiology combines her passion for assisting people to achieve their goals and communicate effectively. In her spare time, she enjoys playing netball and sitting down to complete some hand embroidery. 

Lauren Hamilton - Audiologist - 
BSPath (Hons) MClinAud (AAudA)
Lauren joined the team in early 2024 after completing her studies at the University of Melbourne. She has loved getting to know Amplify’s lovely clients and providing continuity of care from assessment to ongoing hearing rehabilitation. Outside of work she is a member of a local hockey team and has recently started a ceramics course. 

Lauren Saunder - Audiologist -
BBiomed MClinAud (AAudA)
Lauren is an audiologist with a Master of Clinical Audiology from the University of Melbourne, graduating in 2012. She joined the team in Albury in 2024 after moving to the area to be with her partner Jesse and raise their daughter. Lauren has a special interest in bone anchored hearing solutions (BAHA) as well as infant diagnostic testing. She’s passionate about delivering personalised, family-friendly care and helping people get the most out of their hearing. Outside of work, you’ll often find her on the tennis court or enjoying Sunday brunch with her family.


Stephanie Lannan - Audiologist - BPSc. MClinAud (AAudA)
Steph has worked in both diagnostic and rehabilitation audiology settings since graduating from the University of Melbourne in 2017. Moving From Melbourne to Wangaratta for her first role in 2018, she fell in love with rural audiology (and rural life in general) and decided to stay. She now lives in Wangaratta with her fiancé Andrew and golden retriever Kevin, and enjoys travelling and showing off the beautiful North East to friends and family.

Heliena Brincat - Customer Service
Heliena joined the admin team in early 2023 and has recently obtained her certificate in business administration. She plays netball for a local club, and in her spare time goes on adventures with her dog.


Laura Rixon - Customer Service
You will find Laura in our office and never far from a cup of coffee! Laura grew up in the Albury area and after spending a few years away in Central Queensland, Newcastle and the Hunter Valley she has returned to the Albury area to raise her family. Laura has an extensive background in all aspects of Administration and joined the Amplify team in August 2021. An avid photographer and gardener, Laura spends much of her time outdoors and with friends and family. Known as a bit of a larrikin, Laura is always up for a laugh. 

Leah Culhane - Customer Service
Leah joins the Amplify Hearing Team with 20 plus years of customer service and administrative experience across a range of industries, now serving as first point of contact as Customer Service Officer at the Wangaratta location. Moving to the region several years ago, Leah realised country life was for her. Outside of work, Leah enjoys travelling and life on the farm with my family and our cattle and dogs—something that keeps her grounded and brings balance to her busy work life.
